- Civil Eng/Natural Resouces/FABE 618-Ecological Engineering Principles (UG4).
Instructors: Jay Martin, Tim Granata, Virginie Bouchard
Definition, classification, and practice of Ecological Engineering. Course describes ecological systems and the
design of natural systems to provide societal services and benefits to nature.
Wi Qtr. 2 2-hr cl. Prereq: Jr standing with at least one course in one of the following subject areas:
biology, ecology, engineering, or geology. Not open to students with credit for Civil En 618 or FA&B Eng 618.
- Landscape Architecture 633-Planting Design (UG5). Instructor:

Focuses on Planting Design, its theory and practice, using themes of sustainable design, ecological
restoration and community based problem solving.

- Natural Resources 715-Community Education (UG3). Instructor: Joe Heimlich
Seminar study in activism, mass/group movements, and education for
reempowerment/intervention with emphasis on community environmental issues.
